Markuth is a 40 year old man who currently heads the Indolle temple
in Dwillingir. He is relatively new to the position, having served
for seven years after transferring from a post in the Empire.
He came to replace the elder head priest, who was old and ailing
and died of natural causes. Markuth is a careful man, catious
often to a fault and slow to take action, but when he does it
is sure and inexorable. He is adept at staying neutral in politics
and looking solely after the interests of the church, and this
neutrality has made him a well-respected arbiter, confidant, and
escrow holder.
The head priest is not a warrior, and prefers to avoid trouble in general and combat in particular. This does not mean he is a coward; in fact he is somewhat stoic and unemotional in his approach to things. He simply feels that combat is generally a waste of time and effort and that things can be gotten more efficiently by peaceful means.
