Veribor is a clean cut and clean shaven man of 56 years of age. He sports and angular face with a no-nonsense look and is always glancing into corners or observing goings on, with a watchful air about him. Completely loyal to House Riverine, he served under the previous Trade Lord of the House in Dwillingir before Barnabus' succession after the old Lord died of natural causes.

Veribor's own life story is fairly unremarkable. He grew up in a woodsman's cabin in the Arundel Forest with his father, his mother having succumbed to illness when he was just a babe. This cabin was part of a close-knit collection of steads under the eastern eaves of the forest, walled and banded together for protection. Here he learned the woodsman's trade and, eventually, proving himself a clever and strapping lad, joined the rangers of the Arundel and served with them for a time hunting the gnolls and other humanoids that often raided into the forest.

When his father died, Veribor decided to take up his father's axe and, eventually, sequed into building and running a wood mill near the stead, where lumber was milled and cut near the forest. This activity brought him under the auspices of House Mercur, which continually pressured him to join the House. His independent streak (a trait common amongst Arundel foresters) caused him to resent Mercur's overtures, and mainly out of spite he joined House Riverine.

But the merchant's life was not one for Veribor, and he tired of running his business after half a decade. Luckily, the enforcer for House Riverine in Dwillingir had heard tales of this young man's exploits against the gnolls of the Arundel as well as his head for business, and he determined that these two fine qualities would serve well as an adjunct and apprentice enforcer. Veribor accepted the offer and served the previous House Enforcer for some ten years, through the War of the Gem and into NS 7. When his master retired in NS 8 (he subsequently passed away at a ripe old age in NS 16), Veribor had proven his acumen and loyalty to the House, and the Trade Lord elevated him, at his retired master's recommendation, to Enforcer of House Riverine.

Veribor is a clever man, and one who knows his limitations and constantly seeks to improve himself and his service to House Riverine. While no leader of men, for he prefers to work in the background, those who do get to know the Enforcer almost uniformally admire him. When Barnabus took the post of Trade Lord of the House, Veribor and he became fast friends.

Veribor has a vast network of informants and spies at his beck and call. He constantly tries to keep abreast of local news and is extremely vigilant in vetting new members of the House. So far, there has been no major penetration of House Riverine by spies of the other Houses that anyone is aware of. He is an expert in the "Game of Houses", and is quite adept at sniffing out Mercur schemes and devising schemes of his own on behalf of House Riverine.

Nonetheless, Veribor is a quiet, thoughtful man who prefers to say little and listen and observe constantly. He is fond of the saying "You learn more by listening than by talking". He tends to be introverted and unemotional except in extremis, and can be counted on to provide a calm demeanour even during crises.

Veribor was slain in Sowing N.S. 23 by Abrinda to keep him from getting in her way. Abrinda needed the PCs to investigate the Dwillingir Thieves' Guild in order to slay the Jalikin'ilivy and free the real Banrabus. She needed to pose as Veribor in order to gain the party's trust and set them in motion. Meanwhile, the real Veribor was starting to distrust Abrinda, and began to believe that she was behind the entire Green Arrows affair.
