Lord Kiri Windstorm was born during the Storm ceremonies in Boldhome on the High Holy Day of the Orlanth Cult. His parents were Lord Aldweir and Lady Shaltera of the famour Windstorm Clan of Sartar. This clan achieved much in the way of prominence, as they could trace their family tree back to the original house of Sartar. They enjoyed a lot of prestige in Sartar, although the clan was financially broken by the incessant wars with the Lunar Empire. Because of his auspicious birth and family heritage, Lord Kiri is important to the Cult of Orlanth in Sartar, and the Lunar Empire has taken a particular interest in his affairs because they do not wish to see him become a rallying point for rebellion in Sartar.

His cult trained him from birth to hold a Runelordship or Rune Priesthood within the cult and assigned him to become a sub-commander in the elite Iron Lance Troop of heavy cavalry under the leadership of Prince Argrath. Part of his commission included the title of Lord and the gift of an exceptional warhorse of Winganna pedigree named Fury.

Lord Kiri served faithfully for a period of three years prior to the ill-fought Battle of Boldhome and the subsequent Battle of the Sun Dome Temple wherein he was forced to flee to the south to evade the Lunar forces. For the past two years, Lord Kiri has been both fugitive and warrior in the lands of Ralios, where he has served various Lords and priests on different cult missions, proving himself a loyal and faithful Initiate of Orlanth the Adventurer. His most recent duties have brought him to the City of East Town with the accompaniment of a faithful follower of Stormbull, Krongar the Mighty, at his side.
